Ideenzug Südostbayernbahn

The Ideenzug, in regular service since July 2023, is a newly built double-decker carriage that provides space for different user groups and their various needs. A total of ten different seating areas were developed, with innovative choices of materials, a new colour concept and an intuitive passenger information system. They include group areas and office cabins, which offer some privacy and are equipped with an integrated screen as well as a seat and table that can be individually adjusted.

The Ideenzug is an impressive example of where the train design journey could take us in order to increase the attractiveness of rail travel.
