Improv

Back Download

Improv can make walking more enjoyable for children with Down Syndrome gait disorders. The first and most noticeable feature of Improv is its tread. The treads have a V-shaped structure that allows the hip joint to rotate inward as the child walks, thereby improving gait stability. Liftable treads then keep the child’s fingers from being pinched, and a beam projector on the tread makes walking more fun for the child. Second, Improv’s orange curved and rectangular handle can be held anywhere, regardless of the child’s height. Whether they are sitting or standing, the handle is long enough comfortably held while climbing on the Improv. For enhanced safety, a large emergency stop button is located at the top of the frame that crosses the handle, making it simple to stop the device immediately when needed.
