KitchenAid Iconic Fridge

The development of the Iconic Fridge drew inspiration from the manufacturer’s small kitchen appliances with their iconic design. The polished handle is metal-cast and prominently located horizontally on the metal door. It is thus reminiscent of the U-shaped metal band of the stand mixer. Chromed air vents at the bottom of the fridge appear to lift up the doors and balance the appearance of the handle, while they simultaneously provide a subtle connection with the streamline design of the stand mixer.

Statement by the Jury

The design of this refrigerator successfully transfers distinctive design features of the manufacturer’s small appliances to a large kitchen appliance and has high recognition value.
