Knärzje is a certified organic zero-waste beer brewed from discarded organic bread. The package design makes this unique selling point immediately clear at the POS. A reduced label with a simple illustration of ears of corn catches the eye and ensures that the product stands out from the competition. Colour coding identifies the non-alcoholic and alcoholic versions of the German-style Kellerbier. “Storytelling plays an essential role with this product,” explained the jury. “In order to present the sustainability advantages more comprehensively, the inside of the four-pack carton is printed with additional information.”
