Elegant storage system

LAVO is an innovative, integrated hybrid hydrogen battery that, when combined with a rooftop solar system, provides a sustainable, reliable and renewable green energy source for residential and commercial properties. The system utilises patented LAVO hydride to store hydrogen in a metal alloy, creating a reliable hydrogen battery for long-term energy capture in a secure vessel. The system is based on electrolysis to split water into oxygen and hydrogen. The oxygen is released into the atmosphere and the hydrogen is sent for storage in the patented LAVO hydride before being converted back into electricity through the fuel cell. The compact system is designed with clear lines and a surface that is pleasant to the touch. With its elegant appearance, it deliberately breaks with a purely technical look and thus opens up new possibilities for integration into architectural environments. The focus was clearly on the user experience and the perfection of simple, functional details. The device is characterised by four red hydride vessels that visually set off the front as a mechanically complex yet compact system. In terms of design, this compositional aspect is intended to express the product’s potential to advance more flexible, mobile and democratic energy production.

What is impressive about LAVO is the close connection between design and technology. In combination with solar energy, this innovative hybrid hydrogen battery promotes a new way of generating energy. The design language of the entire system visualises this performance potential and blends in with the respective architecture. The user-friendly design of the interface is also convincing, staging the technology in an exciting manner.
