The SmartBar is a redevelopment of the barbell weights system, a product segment that has not changed much in decades. The ergonomic design concept of this innovative system allows the weight plates to be fastened onto the bar with just a few quick, simple steps during plate changeovers. At each end, the bar features a jaw with retractable teeth that holds up to three weight plates, which come in various sizes (1, 2.5, 5 and 10 kg), and locks securely into place with the so-called “gator” quick fastener. Thus, training and workout become considerably easier.

Statement by the Jury

The elaborate construction of this barbell system convinces in two respects: through its sophisticated mechanism for fixing weight plates onto the bar and its extremely ergonomic design.
