Lessons of Auschwitz
“Lessons of Auschwitz” is a social experiment to mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp which is intended to encourage, above all, young people to learn about the Holocaust. The innovative project mixes virtual reality images of young artists and their virtual avatars with moving and touching video sequences. History, the personal emotions of teenagers, the lament of a theremin, an electronic instrument played without physical contact, and innovative immersive technology combine to create a haunting work which keeps commemoration and remembrance alive in today’s digital world.
