The new pair of washing machine and dryer from LG is characterised by a clear, restrained design that focuses on the essentials. The aim of the smooth surfaces and geometric shapes of circle and rectangle was to create an aesthetic that allows the user to integrate the appliances into the living ambience on an equal footing with their furniture. The minimalist approach also has functional significance and directs the focus to the envisioned ease of use. Instead of complicated control panels with wash cycles and programmes labelled on the body, the two appliances present a new approach that is self-explanatory and easy for anyone to operate. The analogue rotary knob is coupled with a digital LCD in such a way that it offers both functions in one – turning and selecting the wash programme. This way, no printing disturbs the simple appearance and users can see at a glance what they are looking for. The rotary knob itself is connected to an app. Thanks to the LG Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive system, the new appliance combination can detect the load quantity, textile type and degree of soiling, automatically dose the recommended amount of detergent and adjust the wash cycle for optimal cleaning results. In addition, the appliances also remember and adapt to repeated usage patterns.

The new LG washer-dryer combination has an exceptionally minimalist appearance that elegantly blends into any interior and adds style and quality to the appliances. The design concept succeeds in an outstanding manner in combining a concentrated language of form with state-of-the-art technology, so that the familiar convenient operation by rotary knob is complemented by a multitude of new functions.
