Light in the Dark

This street garden is located at the centre of a busy business district and comprises two levels. Shade-loving plants grow at the bottom, above which there is a construction of perforated steel plates representing seven circular tabletops. On top of these, 18 luminaires have been installed, reminiscent of table lamps but up to five metres high. The lampshades offer protection against wind and rain, while the bases serve as seating. The emotionally appealing ensemble invites one to linger and exudes elegance and romance, especially in the dark.
