Lippy Chain
The design of the Lippy Chain is inspired by the traditional curb chain. It is the very shape of the individual elements, however, that informs the product name: Each chain link represents a pair of lips. These are modelled on the computer, then 3D-printed, cast and assembled by hand. The individual elements, which are available in various sizes, can be put together into different pieces of jewellery or collections. The design is suitable for necklaces, bracelets, rings and ear jewellery.
Statement by the Jury
Lippy Chain is the tongue-in-cheek reinterpretation of a traditional piece of jewellery and, thanks to its innovative manufacturing method, offers a wide range of uses and wearing options.
