Loom

The Loom collection of pendant lamps utilises a 3D woven polyester material originally used as a source of comfort in the bedding industry. The textile is made of biological polyester fibres that are warp-woven into a dense network and which can be stretched around complex forms. The textile is offset and contrasted with a brightly lit polymer lens at the heart of the pendant. The form of the textile lamp references traditional Chinese lanterns.

Statement by the Jury

The jury was impressed by the lamp featuring an innovative 3D textile that is utilised to diffuse the light, achieving a pleasant effect and which lends it a vivid appearance.
