MetalFAB1

The MetalFab1 3D metal printer is designed for the serial production of components for aerospace, automotive and medical applications as well as for other high-tech industries. The system consists of various standard modules that can be combined as needed. In the build chamber, up to four lasers can be used simultaneously. In parallel, up to four build chambers can handle a maximum of four different metal powders. Despite working almost autonomously, the process is made highly visible.

Statement by the Jury

The MetalFab1 presents a highly coherent design with regard to form and materials. Thanks to its large, planar surfaces, the separate areas visually combine to form a whole.
