MOBILO shelving unit

The design of the MOBILO Shelving Unit is inspired by people who lead a transient modern lifestyle and are always changing their place of residence. As such, they would expect the furnishing they own to be highly mobile. For an immediate cosy and homely feel in a new residence, MOBILO can be set up quickly. The plywood shelving unit can be mounted or dismounted in less than a minute, all done without screws, nails or other tools. Depending on needs, the user can personalise the shelving by selecting the preferred components and colours too. An intuitive and clever assembly system makes the product a good solution for everyone. Its design has a simple, uncomplicated and friendly form. It is made more durable than mass-produced furniture that wear out quickly. MOBILO is environmentally friendly, rooted in sustainability. The designer hopes this would translate into mindful behaviour in other areas of life. It was also important for the project to minimise the number of shelving components, as this lowers production costs.
