Multipurpose Space
mot. Mitsui Office for Tomorrow Otemachi One
“mot.” stands for Mitsui Office for Tomorrow, which is a facility for tenant workers providing a multipurpose space for activities such as working, dining, meeting, and leisure. Situated in Otemachi One, a large office complex in Tokyo, Japan, the project pursues the goal “From Work to Work Wellness”, advancing a new approach to an office complex based on the patchwork concept. Frames serve as threads linking diverse activities and places. Also, emotional elements such as art, recordings and lights are incorporated into these “frames”, blending activities, places, and human sensibilities into patchwork spaces.
