“Mountain Pulses” is inspired by the way traditional Chinese medicine looks at the human body. According to TCM, when an organism becomes ill, it expresses an energetic imbalance of the underlying elements. The book edition applies this idea to nature. With the intention of showing that human diseases and environmental disasters are interrelated, four diagnostic reports on mountains are introduced, each covering a different element. Inside, the books feature an exceptionally dense layout, which catches the reader’s attention with an experimental framework of writing, images and graphic signs.
