NAVER Hangeul Signboard & Cheonggyecheon Campaign

This campaign, which has been run every year since 2008, centres on signboards featuring Korean Hangeul letters. Created with free Hangeul fonts developed by the Korean portal Naver, the signboards were presented as gifts to small business owners during the Hangeul signboard sharing project held in 2014. As a part of this special project, the Hangeul signboards were created for a used bookstore street, which for the past 65 years has symbolised Hangeul’s content, in order to remind people of the historic value the street had in the past. They thus have helped to preserve a historic and precious bookstore street from disappearing.
