nhow Hotel Berlin

The nhow Hotel in Berlin operates five elevators made by OSMA. Customised by the manufacturer, they fit the architecture of the building (Sergei Tchoban) and its interior (Karim Rashid) perfectly. Every elevator cabin has its own colour concept designed to match its surroundings. The cabin walls and doors are powder-coated in different colours. Acrylic glass covered, illuminated ceilings, each with different pictorial motifs, are a highlight. Intelligent control options make it possible to adapt the calling of an elevator to the frequency of its use. OSMA’s Eco Control guarantees energy-saving elevator operation and the OSMA Silent System significantly reduces mechanical vibration effects.

Statement by the Jury

OSMA makes it possible to adapt standardised elevators to the intended architectural and design concepts. The nhow Hotel is an outstanding example.
