OCRA is an optical compass for precise azimuth angle measurement based on sunlight data. Unlike conventional 2D protractors, the device utilises 16 optical sensors for three-dimensional data acquisition. The front camera allows intuitive remote monitoring of the antenna alignment even during storms or earthquakes. The contamination-resistant casing made of recycled black plastic is insensitive to contamination. The semi-transparent dome improves the optical performance and protects the sensitive sensors.
Statement by the Jury
