The OLPC XO tablet is specially designed for children. The integrated “finger loop” and textured surround rubber enables the user to safely position the tablet upright or horizontally. To encourage learning, the “dreams” user interface organises content according to children’s interests and wishes. The home screen’s simple sentence “I want to be a(n) …” prompts children to explore applications grouped by categories like science, art, mathematics, music and literature.
