Period Project

Back Download

The Period Project strives to change the Taiwanese perception of menstruation. Addressing the topic in a comfortable way, the campaign uses publications and conceptual objects to point out that women have to spend a lot of money on hygiene articles in their lifetime. The key demand is that sanitary pads or tampons should be tax-reduced as daily necessities. To match the personal character of the subject, all parts of the work feature alcohol ink artwork and delicate drawings in a hand-drawn style. Rice paper printing and special pleats unmistakably refer to the texture of sanitary pads.
