The Philips Hue Play Gradient Lightstrip makes it possible to synchronise dramatic wall lighting with the visual scenes playing out on the computer screen. It is in particular the change in light colours that creates a dynamic ambient lighting atmosphere intended to heighten the user’s sense of immersion, e.g. in computer games. In this context, the product solution uses the processing power of the PC. The jury was fascinated by “the precision with which the lightbar is able to produce lighting effects that can change the emotional experience of the user”. The unobtrusive lightstrip is available in several sizes tailored to current monitors so as to make its operation as straightforward as possible.
