Pile Array

The design of the “Pile Array” sculpture was based on an arrangement principle inspired by quincuncial piles known from the field of kung fu sports. The main part of the sculpture employs the typical arrangement of these piles, albeit with a structure that is based on only four columns, a zenith and an aisle. However, following the maxim “The product is space, and space is the product”, this structure was broken up during the process of designing the sculpture in order to explore the possibilities of the material.
