powerglass® roof

powerglass is transparent laminated glass with embedded light-emitting diodes. A conductive layer supplies the LEDs with electricity, creating the impression that the LEDs are floating within the glass. powerglass is weatherproof and can be used as a roof and side element. It supports various types of lighting as well as individual lighting designs, enabling use as a design element or as a media facade with interactive and animated light displays.

Statement by the Jury

The combination of glass and light-emitting diodes in a composite material opens up new possibilities for placing impressive and creative accents in architecture and interior design.
