The task in designing the label for the Primator beer brand was to maintain visual clarity and consistency across 15 different beers by adding a new look centred on the theme of “craft”. The redesign abandons familiar clichés like art nouveau ribbons and heraldry, as well as gold, crimson and green colours. Instead, emphasis is placed on simplifying the logo and thus “marrying” the analogue world, represented by a series of fine pencil-drawn motifs and lettering, with the digital world, represented by simple shapes and clean spaces that are filled with an unorthodox colour-coded palette to distinguish the 15 beers.
