Recycled Monomaterial Detachable Button & Rivet

This system of detachable buttons and rivets is made of mono-material. It was primarily developed for the denim industry and enables the trim of garments to be easily removed before recycling. This is made possible by a compact detachment machine that is supplied to recycling stations. For attachment, manufacturers can simply use their existing systems. The rivets and buttons are made of recycled material and can thus be returned to the cycle.

Statement by the Jury

The system of detachable buttons and rivets enables single-material recycling and thus solves a well-known recycling problem, especially for jeans.
