Resilience Paraclimbing Pants

Back Download

Climbers with Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI) require more impact protection and abrasion resistance because they climb primarily with their upper body while their lower limbs bump and drag against the rock. The Resilience Paraclimbing Pants cater to climbers with SCI by focusing on three functions: impact and abrasion protection, optimisation for both climbing and seated positions, and high performance. The outer shell is made of abrasion-resistant reinforced nylon ripstop, and for strategic impact protection, lightweight closed-cell EVA foam padding is attached to the lining at the seat, hips, knees, and shins. The back waist is raised to accommodate a seated position, and the seat gusset provides additional mobility. Rubber grips on the knees and shins keep the legs from sliding off the rock. For comfort, durability, and ease of donning and doffing, the pants include other details such as a reinforced elastic waistband, discrete inner and outer finger holds, four-way-stretch ankle cuffs, and breathable mesh panels behind the knees and calves.
