Returning Hut

The generously proportioned design of this private house has a natural appearance and exudes calm and relaxation. It is situated on a hillside, surrounded by mountains and forests and faces the sea. The ceilings are high, thus lending the rooms an airy atmosphere. The windows reach from floor to ceiling and so offer an undisturbed view of the natural surroundings, thereby creating a link between indoors and outside. The interior design is elegant and without frills, using natural materials, such as wood, glass and stone, in subtle colour shades.

Statement by the Jury

The minimalist appearance of the design for Returning Hut succeeds in creating a calm atmosphere. On top of this, the house blends well into the natural surroundings.
