The Rev sports glasses make use of the innovative ShadeTronic technology: a liquid crystal cell applied to the inside of the lenses adapts to changing light conditions. These changes are triggered by a solar chip above the nose piece, which reacts to infrared light to automatically control the lenses within fractions of a second. In response, the lenses become lighter or darker, depending on the environmental conditions. The tint range extends from protection class 2 to 4. Weighing a mere 38 grams, the sports glasses have a polyamide frame (Grilamid TR90).
