Ring Sharing Ceremony

Back Download

This wedding ring focuses on the shared experience of a creative process. It is the bride and groom themselves who divide a common ring into two individual ones. The resulting break line is then professionally reworked and marks the characteristic uniqueness of the rings. The wedding rings are made using the 400-year-old traditional Japanese “Mokume Gane” forging technique, whose noble aesthetics are reminiscent of a wood grain.

Statement by the Jury

These wedding rings are fascinating due to their minimalist design, which was made on the basis of a historical technique, as well as by the idea of that ceremony, where bride and groom become designers themselves.
