The design of this wash basin in two step-like levels was inspired by the surface erosion caused by flowing water. The lower level quickly fills to a level which is sufficient for most washing purposes. This ensures both comfortable use and a highly efficient consumption of water.

Statement by the Jury

The resourceful idea of creating a cascade-shaped form for the Rock Lake wash basin is entirely based on the concept of user friendliness and efficiency.
