ROLF woodstone

The model “Skylark 41” is the first pair of sunglasses from the woodstone product line that combines a stone surface with a wooden frame. The name of the model is reminiscent of an antique car, yet even older is the shale material used. In order to maintain the stone structure in the frame, new processing methods had to be developed.

Statement by the Jury

Its stone structure lends this frame a lively character. Besides the unusual materials employed, the glasses are also characterised by careful craftsmanship. The design looks as if it had been cast in one piece.
