#Romanovs100 – AR Photo Album

The digital storytelling project #Romanovs100 is based on the analysis of about 4,000 private photographs of the Romanov family, Russia’s last royal family. In addition to the digital processing of the photos for social media platforms, an augmented reality photo album has been developed that contains QR codes that can be read with an app. In this way, users can access 3D animation-models, swipeable galleries, AR infographics and short videos to each of the photos in the classic analogue album. This combination of traditional print media with AR technology allows readers to become active co-creators of the unfolding story.

Red Dot
