“Room Service – On the Hotel in the Arts and Artists in the Hotel” is the catalogue of an exhibition shown at Staatliche Kunsthalle (State Art Gallery) Baden-Baden, Germany, in 2014. It deals with the myths that are entwined with the hotel as a semi-public space. The catalogue incorporates the typography of the late 19th century, when the European grand hotels were at their zenith. The catalogue finds a successful balance between noblesse and kitsch, capriciousness and calculation, as well as art and random arrangement.
