The outstanding feature of ASSA ABLOY’s security door closer is the built-in escape door lock. It allows for the retrofitting of fire doors with an escape route lock. There is no need to drill, mill, grind or sand. This security door closer makes use of existing drill holes for use with DIN EN 1154 door closers by placing an extended installation panel on top. The glide rail is also extended in order to attach the escape door opener to it. The mortise latch bolt lock is mounted onto the extended installation plate – not onto the door leaf.
