Every iOS or android smartphone which supports Bluetooth 5.0 can, with the associated app, open and close this padlock. Each of these procedures consists of only one automatic step, if the smartphone is in the vicinity of the lock or when a code is entered. By using a link, the function can be shared with others. A display records the process when and by whom the lock is changed. In normal use, the battery life is about one year.
