Simply inviting

There are pieces of furniture whose contemplation evokes memories and which immediately have an emotional appeal. This is also the case with Studie, an outdoor chair that has been developed over many years and that is also inviting indoors. Its simple design is reminiscent of a school chair from the 1960s and conveys a familiar aesthetic. On closer inspection, it is not only distinguished by its weather-resistant material, but it also offers contemporary functionality and timeless elegance. To achieve a high level of seating comfort, both the inclination of the backrest and the seat as well as the height of the chair have been designed according to ergonomic principles. Invisible weld seams ensure stability without visually impairing the clear lines. The durable seating furniture is made entirely of recyclable aluminium and is available in 21 colours. The filigree-looking chair legs are fitted with patented, transparent plastic pads that enable noise-free movement. Thanks to its light weight, the chair can be easily transported and stored in a space-saving manner. Up to eight chairs can be stacked on top of each other, and removable caps prevent the seats from being scratched.

Statement by the Jury

The Studie chair inspires as an elegant new interpretation of a traditional form. Its contemporary materiality underlines the aesthetics of a straightforward design and also ensures resource-saving durability. The simple yet comfortable seating furniture is suitable both for the patio at home and for the public sector, whereby the diverse colour concept invites the combination of several chairs.
