Iconic Innovation

Once again Apple is setting the standard in the segment for intelligent screens with its Studio Display. Equipped with an A13 Bionic chip, it enables countless functions that reflect evolving user behaviour but were previously considered impossible due to limited processing power. For example, it has a built-in 12 MP Ultra Wide camera with Center Stage, a feature that automatically keeps users centred in the frame as they move around, thus enabling even more engaging video calls. The camera automatically zooms out when more users are added to the screen, so as to capture everyone in the call in perfect quality. This, combined with a ring of three studio-quality microphones with a high signal-to-noise ratio, makes the Studio Display the perfect choice for video conferences. The large 27-inch 5K Retina screen has over 14.7 million pixels for a stunning viewing experience. With 600 nits of brightness, P3 wide colour and support for over a billion colours, images come to life in spectacular detail. True Tone technology automatically adjusts the display’s colour temperature as the environment changes. There is also an optional version of the Studio Display with innovative nano-texture glass that protects eyes by reducing glare in environments with very bright sources of light or direct sunlight. “The stunning all-screen design with narrow borders and a high-quality aluminium enclosure easily joins the ranks of Apple’s most iconic products,” commended the jury. “This continuity in design quality combined with continuous improvements in technology is truly remarkable and constantly leads to new, highly-coveted products – not least because the company is able to analyse the needs of its users with pinpoint precision.” Three USB-C ports are available on the Studio Display for convenient connection to additional devices. They offer speeds of up to 10 Gb/s to connect powerful peripherals, storage and networks directly to the display. The Thunderbolt port, on the other hand, not only connects the display to the Mac, but also allows users to conveniently charge a compatible MacBook simultaneously.
