The main goal with this editorial piece was to convey the energy and excitement that people feel in the first days of summer. The image was created for use in a lifestyle magazine. Matching the subject of lifestyle, the digital work illustrates the joys of the season by depicting a pool scene. A cheerful and relaxed mood is communicated through appealing colours and simple, clean lines. Funny exaggerations, such as a tiny head on a huge body, add a humorous note to the scene.
