The Energy of Caring

The areas supplied by the Chugoku Electric Power company include remote island and mountain communities. This promotional film seeks to emphasise the fact that the Japanese energy supplier cares about providing the same reliable service to all of its customers – just like members of a family want none of the other members to lack anything. The film tells the story of a father and his daughter who have different ideas about what it means to care for one another. Its message is conveyed through the authentic portrayal of everyday family life and facial expressions, expressions which reveal the protagonists’ love for one another even when they do not admit those feelings.
