The Silent Killer

The consequences of land, air and sea pollution are visible in the illustrations of The Silent Killer. They show animals suffocated by exhaust fumes or dying of contaminated soil and oil-polluted water – a creeping process communicated by the deliberately chosen pointillist technique. Dot by dot, the black-and-white illustrations converge to create a whole – just like the smallest amount of pollution caused by humans can lead to environmental damage of catastrophic proportions.
