The Wolf Guru

“The Wolf Guru” is a 2D animated short film. The story is an adapted version of a Chinese folktale from a book with supernatural stories named “Zi Bu Yu”. It is about a man who is attacked by a group of wolves and their unknown monster leader. Even though the man eventually escapes the danger, the final revelation of the monster’s identity comes as a huge surprise to him. The film does not need spoken words. The story is narrated exclusively through the imagery, showcasing an aesthetic which is reminiscent of ancient Chinese illustrations and alternating between black-and-white parts and parts in colour.
