Smart Weather Station

Tian Qi

The Tian Qi smart weather station measures seven different weather parameters: temperature, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV radiation, atmospheric pressure and humidity. The data can be stored in the cloud and accessed via a web-enabled device such as a smartphone or tablet. Thanks to its mast made of carbon fibre, the station weighs only 4.1 kg and can withstand wind gusts of up to 120 kph. The design evokes associations with a spaceship and plays with the expectations as to how a scientific measuring instrument should look.

Statement by the Jury

The Tian Qi smart weather station is characterised by its extremely flat and airy silhouette, which creates a unique aesthetic.
