Tind

Back Download

As size and configuration of prefabricated houses have to be flexible in order to adapt to the needs of different families and their location, the concept behind Tind is based on a few simple features. The roof, for instance, starts with a pitch that is typical for detached Swedish houses. However, it is not capped with a roof ridge but flattens off. The house also only has a few large windows. All openings are flush with the interior walls. The thickness of the joists is concealed by the bevelling of the window recesses. Furthermore, the organisation of roof and walls, as well as the alignment of the windows are very clear and clean.

Statement by the Jury
