Insect Screen

Transpatec

Insect screens are essentially practical products; you buy them to live undisturbed by insects. But they come with the disadvantage of restricting the amount of light and fresh air they let in through open doors and windows. The optimal design for fully functional insect protection should be as invisible and inconspicuous as possible, whilst maintaining a high level of tear and weathering resistance. Transpatec (right on the lower picture) has the significant advantage over conventional fabric (left on the lower picture) of being more transparent, easy to see through, allowing around 140 per cent more air through and being highly tear-resistant. The new, patented binder-yarn weaving process ensures exceptional homogeneity of the yarns which are only 0.13 mm thick and play a significant role in making the fabric as invisible as possible.
