TU Chair

The TU Chair is a compact office chair with a proprietary mechanism that enables relaxing rocking movements in a confined space. Ergonomically, the seat keeps the distance between the monitor and the eyes at a constant level during PC work. The predominant design principle is a simple shell structure with a monochrome colour scheme. Embedded mica grains take away the synthetic look of plastic from the corrugated, ceramic-like shell. The jury acknowledged the effective and functional design in combination with a commitment to sustainability – all greenhouse gas emissions generated during production are offset and the materials used are made from 100 per cent recycled PET bottles.
