UNIK

The UNIK embedded system combines aesthetic workmanship with rational industrial design. The unibody aluminium housing has excellent heat-sink properties so that it may be in continuous use at a temperature range between -40 to +70 degrees centigrade without ventilation. It includes four Ethernet and two USB ports as well as wireless connectivity for 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Statement by the Jury

The UNIK convinced the jury with its functional design. Decorative elements such as a coated surface have been dispensed with so that the robust appearance is solely determined by forms and lines.
