Unwasted

The Unwasted tile collection consists of repurposed waste materials such as eggshells, straw residues, reclaimed glass and ceramic waste, thus creating a closed resource cycle. This blend of different materials also creates variously textured surfaces and unique patterns during production, giving the tiles a natural look and feel. At the same time, the waste-based mixture reduces energy consumption as the tiles can be fired at a lower temperature.

Statement by the Jury

The use of regional waste materials in the production of Unwasted results in a product that appeals to the senses. The natural look is also impressive.
