With its integrated sterilisation function, the Uvio water bottle can eliminate 99 per cent of the bacteria in water to ensure purity. The energy required for the UV-C light purification process is provided by a rechargeable battery. The lid includes the button for selecting the sterilisation settings, as well as a connection for the charger. The opening for the drinking straw can be closed with a silicone seal. “Recognising the fact that water bottles are usually held near the top with the index finger and thumb, an ergonomically shaped concave ring was incorporated into the container for more comfortable handling,” commended the jury.
