Retinal Scanner

Velara 200

Back Download

Unlike common retinal scanners with a structural separation of headrest and camera, the Velara 200 is based on a closed form, a sort of "camera obscura". This helps to avoid an impairment of the image quality caused by incident ambient light. On the patient side, soft lines and a light colour scheme support a positive perception of the device. Furthermore, the body is slightly curved, which helps the patient to correctly align the head and the neck. As a special design quality, the jury emphasised the “distinctive look” of the design, resulting “from the contrast between the restrained box shape and the dynamically playful curves.”
