VERTO

VERTO is a 360-degree outdoor air filtration tower for urban environments. The system draws in ambient air with energy-efficient fans and cleans it inside with fine dust filters, each with four filter modules. In this way, VERTO can clean 600,000 sqm of air per day. Its shell is made of durable and sustainable glass fibre concrete modules with triangular perforations to maximise surface area for high filtration performance. The jury recognised VERTO’s contribution to improving air quality in urban areas. They also liked the sculptural aesthetics of the tower, which appears delicate despite its size.
